I race in the Golf GTI championship through the 750MC and the regs state you can use either the standard cams or up rate to a Newman one as they are sponsers of the series.

Basically there have been lots of issues such as incorrectly machined keyways on the cam so they never time up correctly, premature wear and failure, poor customer service - no refunds etc, and finally one competitor asked them for a optimum timing setting and Newman could only say we don't know but when you find one can you let us know so we can tell other customers!
