Over 30mpg on the FRS is perfectly possible and have managed it on numerous occasions and thats not been completely off boost lol.
In the 4 years Ive had it Id reckon on an average of mid 20's in the mpg stakes, I've had 320 miles before the light came on, I've also had 170 miles before the light came on but there was some track use out of that tank!
Servicing is similar prices to the rest of the range but replacement parts do tend to incur an 'RS tax' , a full set of disks and pads from ford will set you back in the region of £700,( Aftermarket brakes can be had considerably cheaper than that though) there can also be delays in getting parts.
Mines got 50k on it now and touch wood I havent had a pick of bother with it other than the thermostat housing which got replaced under warranty.
