Thats my take on it exactly mate.

I cant see for one minute her family/friends/agent letting her on national tv in that state unless there was something to gain.

Yes many will think it would be a bad thing for her/them, but you can guarentee they will gain financilly out of it. Yes its wrong, but a dam good way of getting publicity for the new 'programme'.
