It is a 1.6 pinto, and was hoping to use that engine until i can drift properly, then upgrade the engine to poss v6 or something, but the engine lacks power, and when left to idle will cut out. On occasions when driving the car if u dont keep the revs up, she cuts out and then is very difficult to start, but after a few goes she will run.
i have changed leads, plugs, dizzy cap, rotor arm, and have checked carbs diagphram, and cleaned it with carb cleaner.
Any ideas, will be much appreciated.

fuel shut of valve on the side of the carb my xr2 had dat problem its got one wire going to it and should be live when the car is running
