on the 4wd versions, all the extra width is towards the outside of the disc and caliper, the inner mountings and cables and pipes all stay in the smae position so there is no need to change anything at the factory
you keep the same hub setup but change the width of the caliper to allow it to clamp onto a wider disc = less faffing about when you want to upgrade as everything is just bolt in and away you go direct from the parts bin

The second problem is the caliper if it were fitted onto the disc with pads in etc, is so far away from the brake mounting lugs that the spacer is about 3/4 to 1" too thin, doesn't bridge the gap between the two let alone bolt up.
The disc bells imo are wrong and need to be set in a LOT more.

agree with the pipe needing to be longer to fit over the top
i'm just wondering if someones not just bolted either the wrong bell to it or even just bolted the bell on the wrong way around
