Hey thanks for the reply iv done a head gasket last year iv not had it on the road since then either so it should b ok, So how do i wire in a new relay set up ?????? im not really good with the old wiring ?????

Firstly you cannot expect it NOT to overheat if hot enough for fans and they don't work.
Best thing to do is make up a little fan loom with relay, as the std ford affair is crap.
It will most likely be ok after this, if not after all you have done it may be dreaded HG time!!
