Out of the ones i've driven the Audi A6 avant was my favourite. They still look reasonable, drive great and are very solid. I really fancy an A6 2.5tdi 180 sport quattro as my next car.

For sheer cheapness and to get a very new car with low mileage and lots of toys i'd recommend the Renault Laguna. The prices they go for are just silly cheap and they are all 5 star ncap rated. I currently have one and its really good, just doesn't have the sporty drive of the Audi or feel as solid.
