that's all well and good chip, but where do you draw the line?
when there are only 16 cars in the running?
when there are only 4 teams in the running?
who's going to watch?
who's going to sponser a 4 team season?
how crap would it be watching football with man u, chelski, liverpool and arsenal playing over and over again?
if you have lots of teams competing at maximum copetitiveness then there is more talent drawn to the class, if you have an open wallet policy then you wil onily end up shooting yourself in the foot
although i do understand where you are ocming from as i think this is what made the btcc so good in the mid 90's before it went bonkers and you endedup with one team feilding 3 or 4 cars a race event
there is also the safety factor to think about as well as if they can corner and brake and accelerate at such fantastic rates, when things go wrong, things are going to go wrong that much worse, and you don't want to go back to the days when drivers were getting injured left right and centre because they were driving beyond the limits of the vehicle
it would be much easier to just give them a standard set of gear ratios to play with with their choice of diffs and engine speeds to get the speeds they wanted ou tof the cars, plus the addition of moveable areo aids would bring lot more back ot the championship
