You are Scottish lol. I have had both ends of the spectrum with Plasterers, I had a builder in my other house that brought his own Plasterer to keep costs down (his idea not mine) and the job was absolutely garbage
I would rather have paid more for a better job, then the guy we found ourselves for another house charged a fair bit more and couldn't do it straightaway (a busy tradesman is usually a good one imo) but did a cracking job. I don't mind paying good money for a good job and it Plastering really is a skill.
