Did exactly the same on my old 4x4
Snapped when fitting samco coolant kit

Just lower half of dash to take out,not to bad just take your time and don't break any clips/covers etc so it goes back as per original

Just have to unbolt heater box(2 13mm nuts onto bulkhead)and slide it around enough so that heater matrix will slide out past clutch pedal.
