I priced a full house a few months back.....from the stop tap, New everything.

Anyway, they said i was about £1200 over the other price so they went with the other guy........I thought fair enough.

6 weeks later the phone rings

"Hi......You quoted a job for us a while ago but we got another plumber in...........

Well, he has done half the job and now says its too hard for him and he wont finish it

Can you come and sort it for us"

So i went in on a day rate and plodded along for a few weeks.........
