My mate had his tyres replaced on his Mondeo by kwick-Fit.
Drove away and a few mile down the road the car started making funny noises. He stopped and checked the car over and 1 of the wheels hadnt been tightened up and had almost come off the car.
Went back and complained, they denied this so he had a few stickers made up, stuck them front, back and sides and drove round with:
"Kwick-Fit made my wheels fall off" for months

Not exactly the same thing as maplins I know but it was there fault so it was his way to get his own back.
