Is this something that can be done? Reason i ask is the turbo has shat itself on the 306 derv daily hack, ive got a GT15 to go on, but given that its a complete nightmare to change im wondering if its worth getting one of those kits off ebay and rebuilding it myself before i fit it.

Ive heard various horror stories about them needing to be balanced after and such, but i figure as long as i dont split the compressor wheel off the shaft it wont need balancing? The turbo shows no sign of damage on the blades or housing and there is minimal play in the bearing, i just wanted to sort the seals out before i fit it just to be on the safe side.

Opinions?
