basically you drill a a hole throught eh centre of the shafts, effectively creating a tube type shaft which can handle a lot more stress without failure.....also comes with an added benefit of weight saving (not just dead weight but rotational mass which helps reduce Inertia).

Basically I need to know what size hole to drill?? I'll try ringing the specialists monday and see what they recommend.
