Had mine a couple of months now, running cost isn't that bad,i'm 22 and pay £600 for insurance which is ok,service items aren't much different to be fair,i'm a mechanic so i get parts at trade from ford, plugs were about £7 each, fuel filter £12,oil filter £3,oil depends on what you run and the air filter was £22 fancy thing like a K&N panel filter.
I put EBC ultimax discs on with ferrodo DS2500 pads on the front pads were £117 and discs £60 each.

As for MPG,if you drive like miss daisy you may just squeeze 28mpg,if you drive it properly like it was meant to be then its just rude! and i really do mean rude, its more like gallons per mile than miles per gallon lol but its worth every litre of v-power it gussels!

Think you mate is bitter, there are lots of clean ones out there and they are getting cheaper,i bagged a 52reg car,one owner, full ford history,40k miles and absolutly out its box mint for a bit over 10k

Hope that helps, buy one they are fantastic!
