It works as a random orbital polisher which is different to the ones mentioned above. Far more "fool proof" to use and safer in the hands of a beginner. the machines mentioned above are better suited to experienced guys.

Yup i agree as mentioned in my previous post. It's a DA machine (dual action) it's more powerful than the porter cable as that runs on 110v and the megs 220 runs off 220 - 240v
also these machines tend to be handy to get in places that a rotary can't as they're a fair bit smaller and easier to control. most good detailers will have both in their kit. not a necessity though.
