update,
well sounds like alternator bearings, ran it in over 24 hours and has not cut out once, idles better, not as much shite out the back although not give it the hoof yet. feels alot better
so 2nd day i took my mate for some parts up the road and driving along and SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
white smoke bellowing from under bonnet,looked at the gauge and it was red hot so knocked it off straight away
opened the redhot bonnet to find it pissing out water from bottom of rad but looked like it was coming from between ic and rad where i couldnt see, couldnt touch it obviously
shut the bonnet and called it quits for the day, went for a pint while waited for my toe.
in the morn i couldnt get the bonnet up, fookin cable has snapped,anybody gota spare 1 giz a shout! so at the mo its off road, ive gota new thermostat and kit,need new housing as its corroded to death and waiting on a new rad fan swith.
so tmoz hopefully im gona fit thermo,gasket,fan switch,housing all back on, fill rad with water and run up to temperature, see where it leaks from, im hoping its just a hole in the rad and an easy fix(new rad).
