got to agree with the job situation. I have sent off around 8 applications in the last 2 weeks, out of that I have had 1 phone call back, not even sure if I will get an interview out of it as I stay around 25-30 miles away and it is a 4am start. The early start doesnt bother me, I think they may be concerned as I cannot get public transport if my own car breaks down. Thing is, I have a choice of around 6 other cars from my wife and in-laws etc so that isn't a problem.
I know 25 miles from home isnt a big distance, but lately when I phoned about another job, the guy I spoke to on the phone cut me short when I told him where I stayed saying it was a personal preference of his not to employ somebody that wasn't local.

In terms of the Tesco shopping, my mother in law is the best at sniffing out these deals, she came home with 3 bags the other night, total cost £2.67. She likes to go to Asda around 6pm for the guy putting whoops stickers on things.
