It is such a basic old design, std common sense is all you need, certainly no harder than other engines, unless you are talking some very fancy stuff used in very high power applications.
It doesn't always follow that you can blame someone else if they build it either, you may blame them but will they be bothered financially or otherwise ?
I have rebuilt engines trickier than cossie yb in a sitting room before on the floor and table, not ideal but do able, though a shed/garage is ideal.

see thats the difference you know about engines,some dont .
I build houses some dont ,but i wouldnt recomend anyone build there own .

seen pleanty of cossies built to stage 3 oe above slap on a bigish turbo and away they go only to have been running lean or whatever and pop thats that.

Remember a post on here about a Harvy Gibs engine costing 10k that went tits up,built but set up by someone else,it went tits .
Now if i payed half of that i would want answers,hence who builds it maps it ect,then they have responsibility,tuned or not if thats the game there in you would have a come back for sure.
