I only done a handful of welding so was just interested in what its like doing cast, as for warping, dunno, was just a question.
I've heard allsorts, like you have to heat up the cast ally before welding etc, so just wondered if it could ruin what you want to weld, and how do you stop it.
genraly you would only pre head thick ally cast or not and you wouldn't heat it that much its just to help you having the same sort of heat in the part from the start of weld to end of it, welding any metal will make it move about but depending on what it is there are ways of minimizing it
