Default Running Costs of FRS

Hello all, I am in the running to buy a Focus RS currently - although I am tempted to hold off for a bit longer to see if prices continue to fall....! However, I have a few questions to ask some of you.

I have had a look but wanted to ask people about the dreaded MPG. Now, I am aware you don't buy a car like this to worry about MPG but, I would want an average return of 28 ish. My current car is returning low 30's which is not a problem and if I switched I would be happy to see a fall but I do enough miles to feel the effects if I suddenly started getting an average of mid 20's.

The other aspect was running costs. Apart from the brakes and tyres which due to being 18's and the brembo 4 pots considerably more expensive, but are all other running costs more standard?

A friend of mine has also recently bought a FRS and goes on consistently about how he bought a bad one as it always has niggles and problems. He is also saying its pretty difficult to buy a straight one and really trying to put me off - maybe he is just a bit bitter I don't know.

Anyone offer any advise?

Cheers,

Jamie.
