I really have never seen the point of loads of adjustable boost points, when your foot can do the same, although I could understand a "wet" lower boost setting esp on a 2wd.

1. Noise for track days (a multiple adjustible boost allows you to set this as close to the "trip" point as possible) - has proved invaluable on my own car.
2. Wet track / road use (as when the tyres spin and the revs rise, you get even more boost, and not everyone has the same levels of skill to accurately modulate the throttle).
3. To keep the charge temps down on a really hot day (as just running full boost and hitting the charge air temp retard points in the map will reduce the power more than just keeping it below this threshold by backing off the boost).
