had this a few times mate.

You have a few options, first up, is the car with you??? if so, and the insurance write it off, aske them what they want for it as salvage.

You can then see if they will take a counter offer to keep it where it is (remember they have to pay to get it removed), keep the offer reasonable.

Paid 80 quid for an xr3i of mine and that was 10 years ago and they paid me out the agreed value less the 80.

REMOVE anything that is not declaired, and remove items that aren't specifically listed, but ensure it is still a running car ie dont strip if rims and leave it on the floor, or engine parts and make it a non runner.

Same with things like sound equipment, if they aint paying you more for it, remove it.

Some places wont let you buy it, but that iirc is if it is a cat A or B.
