Okay,

Jus a small update today as wasn't too much done & well basically we're lazy & would rather stand round chattin than do any work !!

First off was movin the engine/box as it was still underneather the front of the motor & we couldn't put the front down as it would cause more damage than already done by Paul !!

The engine was dropped out Monday night, the plan for tonight was the rear axle complete.

You can see from these couple pic's how hard the hit was @ Silverstone as the n/s engine mount bracket has snapped & popped the mount on the o/s (n/s mount was brand new)

As soon as I'd done the hard work of movin the 6 pot & gearbox, Jim turned up !! he was quickly let off tho as he carried the holy grail (red bull )

We had a quick lil look round his new toy (which I actually quite like, especially the wheels) & agreed it really suited him !! (take that as you will )

Then Tom (Mater) turned up & on with work we got !!
(we had a lil fuel leak hence the jerry can )

Armed wit the impact gun, Jim whipped the exhaust mounts off & pulled the complete system from under the car damaging himself on the VR behind in the process
(thats Jim's shoe)

Then it was a case of laughin at Tom tryin to undo the 10/13mm lock nuts for the handbreak cable and doin his best impression of a bird goin pee when there's no toilet around
Bless

They then whipped the rear wheels off while I removed (carefull I might add ) the rear brake lines as their braided & rear shocks.
(Jim was on light duty which was a bit dodgy & he managed to fix !! )

Check them 2 out, all profesional wit their gloves on & everything !!

So I ended up undoin the handbrake cables & pullin them through wit the help of Jim & started undoin the 4 rear beam mounting bolts/nuts. One of the studs had snapped & wrecked the bush so we used the weight of the beam to help pull it out of it hole !! The the beam got stuck on the other stud & I had to get a "little" medi-evil wit it

Finally the beam dropped, we undone the rear trailing arms (Tom started doin em up under Jim's advise ) & then it was axle on the floor & dragged out the rear with everything still attached including the prop !!

The f**k rear beam bush & where the stud should of been, slight rust round the mounting points of the beam !!

Tom & Jim lookin at something ??!!

Then a quick tidy up, chuck like 12 cans red bull in the bin & go nun nights !! Mission accumplished for tonight !!

Fridays mission is interior out complete including head lining, dash, door cards, pillar trims, carpet & anything else we see !! wish us luck !!
