Thats daylight robbery mate!

I cant remember how much it was to program keys at the ford dealer where i used to work but it certainly wasnt that much!!

From what I can remember we used to charge a little more to program keys on diesel mondys/escorts/fiestas etc due to the fact they took longer to erase the learned keys but again nowhere near that much!

Only way I can think for it to cost that much is if they quoted for a complete lock set change which naturally would involve more labour.

I'd agree with Puma_dal about taking it to fords to have the keys done as they have the correct equipment/software to do it properly. Ive had to do loads of cars where they have had attempts at programming keys by 'specialists' and ended up being recovered to us!
