The other week i got pulled over in my ka, bear in mind its stripped out with a fully welded in cage by DANNY B, and a sparco fia - approved harness, a jumped baby face traffic cop pulled me over question me about my car, done the usual checks and questioned me on weather it was safe to be on the road, he told me to be careful as he thought it was illegal.

Did the copper know who DANNY B is? Probably not, and if he doesn't know this DANNY B character, how's he to know whether or not he did a good job? I don't know who DANNY B is so I'd take a stab in the dark that the average Joe (or policeman) won't either. Typically if your car does 'stick out from the crowd' you're going to get some form of attention, whether you like it or not. How's he to know that you have an 'approved' harness, or even whether or not the cage is stuck in with self tappers?
Look at it from their point of view before deciding you hate them for the service they provide.
