My mother in law has one and i was going to say exactly as you've discovered with the bearings and the bottoms arms are shot too. It clunks and rattles over bumps and potholes and wanders at speed!!
Shame as i was really impressed with it when i drove it before it got like this. Really versatile for its size and so easy to drive.
