have they given him a figure for the % his lungs are operating at mate? my nan was 24/7 hooked up as she was only using 35% of her lung capacity, but other than not being able to climb stairs and sitting down being tiring for her, she was right as rain until the last 2 days
if your dad is still only using it for 18 hours a day then he could still have a good few years left in him yet
