for anyone who doesnt know what they are doing, they are firing particles at eachother at near the speeed of light in order to see what happened in the first few nano seconds of the "Big Bang". as said above they dont know fully what will happen, but can take an educated guess, unfortunately a black hole is also one of the other alternatives...
