My hand was permanantly shut due to nerve damage, as in I lost the use of it for around 4 weeks, then gradualy it eased day by day.
The cause was in part* due to impact to the humerus(bone thats in the upper arm) and which is between the Bi & Tricept.

*I believe that the colar bone which I also burst runs very close to Ulnar nerve so this may have also contributed to or have been the cause of the nerve dammage.

Pain: because the nerve dammage was only part of the dammage and I was on Morphine anyway, it was more an inconvinience and a concern rather than painfull.

Cost: I was most fortunate in that the hopsital where he works was the hospital I was flown to. He is know as the best in his field and is held in high regard. Good old NHS payed for his time
