my dad always had faster fords, had a xr4i, 2dr cossie, and then a xr3i when insurance went mad in the nineties
I always loved his mk4 xr3i and remember it a bit more clearly- always wanted one then i realised they weren't all that and the rst was the one to set your pants on fire
loved/hated it ever since and it ain't going nowhere
not many 20/25 year old fwd cars that can still be so much fun and cut the mustard with a modern hot hatch
