Not sure really. Dads always used to have fast fords when I was a kid. XR4x4, 2.8 Capri etc and my uncle had a White S2 before it was nicked, then he used the insurance to buy a Calibra Turbo.....which also got pinched. So I guess it stems from there.

My first car was a Mercury grey XR2i which I bought off my brother and turned into a FRST rep and I've just stuck with Fords.

Brother went jap and bought an STI and I stuck with Fords and Bought a S2.

That and I actually quite like spending my bank holidays/weekends/days off searching for where that oil leak stain on the drive my parents moan about is coming from and wondering if it will go bang everytime I put my foot to the floor

But I love it when I bump into mates from school who take the piss because I own a 20year old Ford shortly before Embaresing them at the lights.
