I don't want to sound like an arse, but if it made its peak power (bhp) at 3600rpm and with such a torque spike, that car was definately wheel-spinning!

Peak power should be close to the rev limit, so in a moderate spec RST, peak power will be somewhere between 5500 and 6000 rpm.
