What? There is no voodoo like that going on, there is just PIP and SAW signals. One is the effective crank signal to go to the ECU so it knows the crank position (and in conjunction with the cam phase sensor, it knows what cycle its on), and the other signal is the modifying spark angle from the base 10 degrees that the EDIS module operates from (basically).

EDIS-4 always has a trigger point of 90 degrees BTDC. There are certainly no sparks being fired here!!!
