COCK of a copper. You are supposed to pull over in a safe place and invariably off the road is safer than on it. Not like he followed you for 2 miles then you pulled over!!!

I was under the impression they were required to give reasonable opportunity to pull over before they could even consider "failing to stop".
Personally i dont pull over until i consider its safe to do so and ona normal town road unless its totally empty or wide i wont pull over on double yellows much to some coppers annoyance.
Also on motorways when ive been flashed if its within 1 mile of a junction i will usually take the junction if i know the area has somewhere to pull over off the motorway. simple safety really. If the junctions a service station then perfect.
