My B&M is installed as per the instructions. Nothing different, just fitted carefully, with everything clean and greased as it should be. The standard gasket that goes between the shifter assembly and the body is still used. All the guts get stripped out of the standard shifter assembly, return springs too.

If you remove the lower console and look at it from the back, you'll see what needs bonding.
