I think your talking about a VDRS, which is a Vehicle Defect Rectification Scheme when the driver has 7 days to rectify the fault & have an MOT station stamp the order & then send it to the plod.

the reason i taking about it as pauls car is a 1.1 escort with no carpets, 2.0 zetec engine, roll cage, harnesses,,,, getting a vosa check aint gonna be treated like a bloke with a mondeo whos got a slightly loud exhaust remember

considering the noise AND you wanna track it, IMO aint worth the hassle or risk

its like small plates, LOADS of people use em but some get hassle
