Brian there are variations on each theme, but the basis is the same - there are three main types of mechanism : vertical channels (wire + pully), scissor/third arm metal arms and single metal arm.

Yes, there are different FIXINGS for each type, and yes, as you say, some have two vertical channels, some, like the Clio, have one, but the basic principal is the same for each. And seeing as the OP has a limited grasp of the English language, and that information isn't relevant to his question, it wasn't worth going into detail.

But having a double channel, like a Golf/Polo/Focus etc isn't really any different to having a single channel like a Clio, early Mondeo, Pug Expert van, Audi A4 rear door - still from the same mech type family And if you rear my initial post, I listed varying ways glass is secured to these mechs, including to the most typical way. Again I saw no point in going into fine detail and listing EVERY way, as it doesn't benefit this post. Second to that, the type of fixing, be it clamp VW style, or rivits Volvo Style, or swiveling blocks on mini channels BMW (E36) style, or bolts through plastic lugs Avensis style, this fixing is seperate to the style of mech. The mech, or really I should say regulator, is still only three types, and fixing style is both independant of this, and irrelevant...
