Never used a Burton pump myself, my engine is too valuable to be killed by a poor quality pump. Sure, any part can fail but I have heard too many bad things about Burton pumps to risk it. Oil pressure is fine on mine with the Ford one, 1.8bar at idle when up to working temp, bloody good for a CVH.
