My dad saved his westfield engine (2.0 pinto) by seeing the pressure drop on the gauge when he had an oil leak. I have both oil and temp in mine but if I had to choose only one it would be pressure. Yes, it might not save your engine at 120 mph but it might do in less extreme situations.
