I have an escort cosworth which until recently had a standard oil breather kit on it, after i changed this for a bailey oil breather i removed the filter for a good clean to remove all the engine oil deposits job done filter nice and clean and oiled. Took my filter off the other day about 2 months after the breather was fit and left it stood up in my garage, came to it this morning and there was a big pool of oil around the filter almost certainly engine oil. Now is this normal? I thought once i had removed the standard breather pipe from the filter the filter would stay nice and clean. Any help would be appreciated thanks. Matt.
