maybe thats what we need though as the current generation doesn't know anything different, they think money grows on trees and you can just buy everything you like on an average wage and pay for it in 20 years.
The difference between then and now is that if people earnt a low/average wage back then they managed to live within their means and just accept that they couldn't afford fancy new stuff every month, nowadays it doesn't matter what you earn people just live beyond their means and think there wont be any comeback.
IMHO we need whats coming, and thats lots of people getting a rude awakening.
