I downloaded some free Serif software that allowed me (a complete web novice) to create a 10 page website quite easily.

The free version is limited to 10 pages and the software was easy so I upgraded to their proper package and have been very happy with it.

They did plague me to begin with, sending constant emails about other software, and even phoning, but they stopped when I asked them to.

Also, I'm using someone called 110mb.com for totally free hosting (no email addresses in the free package though) The service has a wee hiccup, but that seemed to be the case more when they were still filling the server I'm hosted on. They've since mved on to box 14 and things are very stable for me now.
