They can change the price but only by a certain amount mate, as long as it's not over a certain percentage of what it was at the start of your contract.

Cheers for that, I was customer services for 9 years, lol.

No offence taken though, I reckon I was pretty gd, but there are a real bunch of numpty's working there too (same as anywhere I guess!).

The card usually takes maybe up to a week to process, then a couple to get to you, so if you got a quick install date, it's just unfortunate the card wasn;t there for the install. They don't guarantee it being there in time, which I personally think is shit.

You did well to get money off your subscription though (well, in the grand scheme of things I'm sure you'd rather it have been a smooth install process) but normally they wouldn't give stuff like that out so easily.

Ive had sky digital with the smart panasonic box for nearly 10 years now unconnected to a phone line. When i used to pay for footy matches they used to send a signaal to the dish so i just dont understand this charge for Manual Alignment?????

Not ALL the calls are recorded unfortunately mate, just randomly

As I said previously, you couldnt get sky installed without a phone line until recently, that's now changed so that Sky can reach a wider customer base (people who maybe use mobile's instead of landline's) but then you don't qualify for the subsidy from the interactive company.

If you take a new system, you're entering into a new 12 month contract, therefore the old one becomes obsolete so it doesn't matter that you had it connected before unfortunately.
