Smile New to the forum, got a few questions.

Hi guys,

Im 18 and got a 1.2 mk4 fiesta. when i bought it the owner had put some cheap rims on it and sprayed the plastic bumpers without plastiser to make it stick, so its all flaking off, and put some lexus lights on it.

I've blacked out the windows, smoked the lexus lights (so theyre not so bad), wacked on a pipercross and a back box and cut out the middle box, along with a couple of other subtle external mods.

I've got big plans for this little thing, inc a focus RS lump.

Being that im still only young, and cant yet afford to insure (or even fund) a 2.0 turbo yet, i've sorted myself a nice sound system (vibe 12" sub, JL audio 6x9's, FLI comp 6's and a ripspeed DVD headunit. Everythings going cool (except the fact i just killed the gearbox with my over-enthusiastic down changing) but im now looking to start sorting the handling, so i've got a good base for the future beast, so am looking at suspension.

I keep gettin a ton of brake fade, even with my tar'ox grooved and drilled discs, so am going to be converting to cossie items soon.

I was wondering what your guys views are on cheaper suspension makes like wietec, compared to koni, kw, GAZ, eibach etc. You can pick up a wietec coilover kit for sub £400, yet for coileys from koni etc your looking upwards of £600.

I like the look of AVO's coil overs, as they seem quite mid-range price wise, and AVO seem quite a reputable suspension manufacturer.

Here's the second question, I've heard from a couple of people that the front end of the mk4 and 5 fiestas are the same as the respective mk Puma's, therefore, its possible to carry out a puma front end conversion on the mk4 and 5 fiestas (bonnet, headlights, bumper, front wings etc), has anyone heard of this conversion before as its what i want to do, if possible DIY(without too much custom work).

Cheers guys

josh
