mate in garage next to mine has just built this car.

3 weeks ago it was a sorry looking grey primer rolling shell

he has put a lot of time and effort into the car,more thn i thought he was capable of

anyway,the shell was solid in all the right places,chassis,boot floor,wheel wells,inner wings etc.its had a couple of plates welded but not much.

it was all cleaned underneath and undersealed.

fully repainted in ford signal orange,not a concours job but good enough,if you know what i mean.

had new rear brakes,cables,and brake pipes,new front pads,calipers cleaned.new steering rack gaitors.

it was fitted with a very sweet sounding 1600 x flow,which fired up and ran smoothly first turn of the key! 4 branch manifold and sports exhaust,webber carb.

has been fitted with brand new 8x13 superlite alloys and 205/60x13 p/w tyres.

interior is 2,reclining bucket seats,harnesses,alloy door cards,and checker plate floor.has sport clocks with working rev counter.has half rear roll cage fitted.

outside he fitted some 1600 sport stripes against my will,but they actually look good on the car,front quarter bumpers and front spotlights.

the front headlights are golf items-and work!

he took it for mot yesterday and it flew through!

he wants to use it for summer but he has a mille-r bike and my old evo 4 so knows he realistically wont use it.

he has asked me to sell it for him at £3995.not bad as its a decent shell and mk2 prices are still climbing.
