Steve C, thanks for the clarification, I assume a microwave is generally double insulated then and hence requiring an earth?

Stevenebm, at first it may seem strange not having an earth, but....look at my location LOL, over hear nothing is unusual

Two conflicting views though, I would be dubious to it being static build up, as the shocks weren't just one, if you held your finger on anything it was just one continous 'tingle' so to speak.
I do have a socket tester somewhere, where it tells you if L/N/E are okay and if any are swapped or faulty, should i test every socket?
No fuses or breakers ever go either
