As already said that's very good torque, esp for a t38 as these generally seem to give more bhp but less torque than a t34 (I'm no expert, just going on figures I have seen).

Chasing BHP figures is useful only for the pub!! I bet the car drives superbly with that torque, and at the end of the day 385 bhp is not to be taken lightly - its still a shit load of power.

did you ask the dyno operator what they thought the problem might be? That's assuming there is a problem. It might well be you just need more headwork to make the rest of the power you are after.
