Update time... first off a pic I forgot to post of the carbon strut tops I fitted before getting the bodywork done...

To go along with the kind of black and white theme I wanted to paint the fog light surrounds, so they were cleaned up, rubbed down, primered...

...and painted satin black

The actual fog lights themselves had suffered from the usual rusting inside so obviously I wanted to clean them up a bit, rubbing and stripping the reflective film as well as my patience let me...

And just gave them a quick coating of primer and chrome effect paint (i know it looks a bit shit but they're a damn sight better than they were!!! )

Cleaned up and re-fitted the plastic roof strips, C-pillar trims and rear window rubber...

Then it was time to tackle the door mouldings... used some decent thinners to totally remove all the old glue so they were perfectly clean and smooth...

Bought some pukka 3M Acrylic 12mm foam tape (bloody expensive but worth it, and you have loads left over!). The tape's so strong there's no need to do anything to help them take, just pop 'em on!!!

Re-fitted the fuel cap...

Carried on fitting exterior trim (rubbers, handles etc)... 2 of my window rubbers were pretty good, and knowing how hard new ones are to come by i've re-used them, but the other 2 need replacing (so anyone with o/s front and n/s rear rubbers let me know please?! ) So that's why there's a couple of bits missing at the mo...

The first bit of engine related work has been done... The head has had the waterway corrosion sorted and been skimmed, but haven't got it back yet cos it's having the inlet ports opened up slightly to match the manifold which has had the same treatment with polished trumpets. Thanks to Neil at Melnei Engineering . The throttle elbow's had all the nasty casting marks and burring removed and the restricting divide knife edged...

The valves have also been checked, cleaned up and the necks smoothed...

Fitted the indicators and brand new side repeaters...

Re-fitted the painted covers to the morrettes and loosely popped them on, bonnet's just fouling the tops at the mo and they'll need lining up properly with grill too so i'll wait for my patience to build up a bit!!! (I haven't got the right cover-to-slam panel screws if anyone can help?! )

On to the new bits this month...

Got a mint black dash top half (thanks Gav you carbon fibre addict you!!! ) ...

...Some genuine brand new 4x4 rear calipers to go with the 300mm kit (will be painted black)...

...and finally, picked up the 350mm front kit from Tony (Nuts RuS) at Castle Combe. A top bloke with a well deserved good reputation who comes highly recommended!!! It seems to be an awesome package this kit and didn't realise just how big the discs and calipers are!!!

I decided to fit some proper stickers which makes them look complete I think...

...and then I couldn't resist trial fitting them to see what they look like in the arches, but I've only got the standard alloys still at the mo so can't fit them properly!!!

Note the new triangular bumper mount ...

There's no way that wheel's going anywhere near those brakes!!!

That's it for now... got to decide on which 18" alloys to go for and what colour, wanted MOs originally but at the moment fancy something a bit different still from Compomotive...
