1500 - 2000 is about right for the whole lot mate but like anything else depends who you take it to. do you know any good painters in your area?? get a few quotes first and ask to see there work before you commit your pride and joy to a garage you dont know.
but saying that i paid 2k at a garage i know well for a respray on my old s1 and that was inside and out engine bay etc etc, that was 5 years ago so it helps if you are friendly with a paint shop. could of cost joe public a lot more than 2k
